The One Thing That Bonded Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Will Tug At Your Heartstrings

Since Megan Markle and Prince Harry first announced their wedding date, we’ve been obsessing over this royal power couple. Beyond their feminist goals and swoon-worthy moments, we thought Markle and Prince Harry couldn’t get any more adorable. Of course, they had to prove us wrong and give us even more #relationahipgoals. As E! News explains, apparently heartbreak might’ve been behind helping Markle and Prince Harry develop a stronger relationship.

That’s right, heartache helped this royal couple (because Markle has always been a queen, don’t @ me) fall in love. E! News explains that, because Markle’s parents divorced when she was only a 6-year-old and Prince Harry was only 8 when his parents split up, the two developed a stronger connection to one another. According to E! News, Prince Harry and Markle maybe have bonded so quickly because they’re both “offspring of couples who fell out of love,” which could explain why the duo has been inseparable.

The couple rapidly fell for each other last year, and even their friends knew they were meant for one another. E! News reports Prince Harry’s friend was confident that Markle was the perfect person for him after their third date, in Botswana. (We’re still bitter that all our third date are inferior to this royal couple’s third date.)

While some have criticized the couple for their short relationship, it’s clear that these two are in love. POPSUGAR reveals that Prince Harry has defended their expedited relationship by saying, “The fact that I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly is confirmation to me that all the stars are aligned.” Why can’t we find a guy like Harry on Tinder?

Regardless of the reason Prince Harry and Mackle became so attracted to each other, Marie Claire claims that family is crucial for both of them. Because they both grew up amidst family breakups, their connection likely only reinforced the couple’s family mentality.

Aside from E! News’s theory on what sparked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s instantaneous connection, we can’t wait for their wedding so their relationship can grow even stronger. (P.S., we’re still waiting for our invitations to the royal wedding.)
