Meghan Markle Referred to Prince Harry as a Feminist & *Swoon*

Just when we thought we couldn’t possibly love Meghan Markle and Prince Harry more than we do already (see: the adorable reason they want a banana wedding cake or their super sweet engagement photos), Meghan Markle just made us even *more* obsessed with the royal couple.

During a visit to Cardiff, Wales on Thursday, Meghan and Harry took the time to speak with a few people in the crowds that had gathered in anticipation of their arrival. As People reports, 23-year-old fan Jessica Phillips took the opportunity to let Meghan know how happy she was to have a feminist in the royal family. Of course, Meghan had the perfect response, and we’ve luckily been #blessed with video evidence of the interaction.

“He’s a feminist too, so there’s that,” Meghan can be heard telling the crowd in the video, in reference to her future husband.

“She was so lovely,” Phillips later told People. “I said it was really lovely to have a feminist in the royal family, and she said Harry is a feminist too.”

ICYMI, Meghan Markle is more than just a stunning AF former actress known for her role in Suits — she’s also a badass feminist who was named as a UN Women’s Advocate, gave a speech at International Women’s Day in 2015 and even wrote to Proctor & Gamble when she was only 11 years old asking the company to fix a super sexist soap ad it ran.

Obviously, all men (royal or not) should consider themselves feminists, but we applaud the royal couple for publicly standing up for gender equality, especially considering other royal family members have traditionally been less outspoken on feminism and their personal politics in general. It seems like Meghan is the woke royal we needed in our lives.
