Since bursting onto the music scene in 2021 with her debut album Sour, Olivia Rodrigo has consistently topped the charts and captured hearts worldwide with her sad girl anthems. Her sophomore album Guts, which contains angsty heartbreak masterpieces like “get him back” and “vampire,” propelled her to a new level of stardom. With her Sept. 8 album release giving us more break up anthems, one might think Rodrigo would ward off love and relationships for the time being. But some fans are convinced the 20-year-old pop prodigy has found love again, and this time with a British actor. Rodrigo was recently spotted hanging out with Enola Holmes star Louis Partridge. Of course, once fans saw these two together, they immediately began to speculate if these celebs are dating.
On Oct. 30, Rodrigo and Partridge were spotted hanging out in London. In fan-captured pictures, Rodrigo was wearing a Halloween costume with cat ears as she walked into a venue with Partridge. The two had their arms wrapped around each other’s waists as they appeared to be laughing together. Partridge was also seen in the background of several selfies that Rodrigo took with fans that night.
It didn’t take long for fans to share their thoughts on Rodrigo and Partridge potentially dating. Immediately after photos of the two began circulating through social media, fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their excitement over this potential pairing.
Rodrigo might’ve alluded to finding a new partner in a July 6 interview with Vogue. When asked if she was single, she responded, “I don’t kiss and tell.” Is this what she was hinting at? Neither Rodrigo nor Partridge have confirmed anything yet, but it sure looks like something is going on between them. Her Campus reached out to Rodrigo’s team for comment but did not hear back by the time of publication.
If the rumors turn out to be true, this would be Rodrigo’s first public relationship since dating Zack Bia in 2022. It’s widely speculated that her song “vampire” was written about him, particularly due to the line “went for me and not her, ‘cause girls your age know better.” Bia and Rodrigo’s seven year age gap caused lots of concern among fans, so many weren’t that heartbroken when Rodrigo and Bia parted ways in August 2022. Partridge, on the other hand, is the same age as Rodrigo, which is why so many fans approve of this potential romance.
I’m happy that Rodrigo seems to be “happier” these days, whether it’s with a man by her side or not! But if Rodrigo and Partridge do turn out to be an item, he better treat her right.
