The ‘Off-Campus’ Book Series Order, For Elle Kennedy Fans

Ice hockey romance is so in. Off-Campus by Elle Kennedy is a popular book series that swept BookTok by storm. The series — the first book of which was released in 2015 — follows four hockey players at Briar University and their love interests. Each book highlights a different couple of the same intertwined friend group, so if you’re missing a character from a book prior, don’t worry. There’s a high chance they’ll appear in the books to follow. There are also two spinoff series, including Briar U — which features four books: The Chase, The Risk, The Play, and The Dare — and Campus Diaries — which consists of three books: The Graham Effect, The Dixon Rule, and The Charlie Method.

If you’re looking for a new, steamy, sport-themed romance, look no further. Immerse yourself in the world of Briar University with the Off-Campus series. After all, now is the perfect time to crack open the first book in the series — the TV series adaptation will be coming to Prime Video on May 13. Season 1 follows Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham from the first book, The Deal, and Season 2 has already been greenlit.

Off-Campus consists of five different books: The Deal, The Mistake, The Score, The Goal, and The Legacy. If you’re wondering the order and what tropes each book explores, look no further. Ready to take a step onto the ice? Here’s the order of the series and a brief synopsis of each book.

Calling all fake-dating lovers, this one’s for you. Briar University hockey team captain Garrett Graham and Hannah Wells, the smart, reserved college student, make a fake-dating arrangement. Hannah agrees to tutor Garrett if he helps her get the attention of the guy she likes. Unexpectedly, like all good fake-dating tropes, sparks start to fly between Hannah and Garrett.

Book 2: The Mistake

Love some good ol’ groveling? In The Mistake, hockey player John Logan and freshman Grace Ivers have a one-night stand that Logan ruins by making a mindless mistake. Throughout the story, Logan attempts to earn a second chance. If you’re in need of a good push-and-pull dynamic, The Mistake delivers.

Book 3: The Score

The Score follows friends-with-benefits couple Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis. The two agree to keep their relationship casual — especially since Allie is fresh out of a breakup and Dean is too flirty for his own good — but something deeper develops between the two of them.

Book 4: The Goal

The Goal features a somewhat controversial trope in the romance genre: pregnancy. After Sabrina James and John Tucker have a one-night stand that results in an unexpected pregnancy, the pair has to navigate becoming parents and building a relationship with one another.

Book Five: The Legacy

The Legacy has a different format from the first four. Instead of highlighting one story, it features a collection of four novellas all taking place three years after college graduation, with each novella highlighting a different couple: Garrett and Hannah, Logan and Grace, Dean and Allie, and Tucker and Sabrina. The Legacy is a bittersweet farewell to the characters that readers have grown to know and love.
