Nancy Pelosi Is Selling ‘Patron Saint of Shade’ Merch To Honor Her State Of The Union Clap & It’s A Must-Have For Meme Lovers

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s State of the Union clap first ignited some quality memes, and now, she is giving fans merchandise to celebrate the iconic moment, The Hill reports. The speaker of the House is currently selling “Patron Saint of Shade” t-shirts and tote bags online, which feature a sketched image of the clap.

There are only two products available on Pelosi’s site—“Patron Saint of Shade” tote bag for $25, and a “Patron Saint of Shade” t-shirt for $22. As of right now, both items are still in stock.

On February 5, President Donald Trump delivered his State of the Union address. During the president’s address, Pelosi stood and applauded the president’s comment to end “revenge politics” with the most savage grin ever. The moment quickly became a viral sensation and birthed a series of memes on social media.

Many on Twitter thought that Pelosi’s clap was her throwing shade at Trump, but she denied the claims at the time and said it was sincere. After the SOTU, Pelosi told Fox News that her clap “wasn’t sarcastic,” and that she “wanted him to know that was a very welcome message.”  But it seems like Pelosi is now embracing the shade.

This isn’t the only thing that Pelosi sells; her online store is actually filled with a ton of other items that highlight memorable moments of Pelosi’s career.

During the government shutdown, Pelosi met Trump in a public meeting, and he claimed that Pelosi was “in a situation where it’s not easy for her to talk right now,” according to The New York Times. She reportedly responded with, “Mr. President, please don’t characterize the strength that I bring to this meeting as the leader of the House Democrats, who just won a big victory.”

The speaker of the House’s website has made a t-shirt and sweatshirt of the phrase “Please don’t characterize the strength that I bring.” The sweatshirts sells for $39, and the two styles of t-shirts sells for $22.

Here’s hoping that Pelosi rolls out some more meme merch in the future.
