The Best Celeb Selfies From Inside This Year’s Met Gala

The most anticipated night in fashion, the 2023 Met Gala, took place on May 1 and it did not disappoint. Following the theme of Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, the red carpet was flooded with classy white and black, glitz and glamor, and… cats (Choupette was the real star of the show). The night was filled with fashion moments that had fans gasping, from Florence Pugh’s buzzcut debut to Lil Nas X’s full-body glitter

Though fashion is the main focus of the night, fans couldn’t wait to see interactions from their favorite celebs, including Emma Chamberlain and Jack Harlow’s reunion after their viral moment on the carpet last year. What goes on past those Met steps is a mystery to us outsiders, but with every Met ball comes the gift that keeps on giving: Met Gala celeb selfies. From the iconic bathroom photo shoots to star-studded selfies, the celebrities were giving the fans what they want with all of these 2023 Met Gala selfies.

First up, Halle Bailey is a real-life princess for giving us the inside look at fashion’s biggest night.

Lil Nas X is a man of the people. He never disappoints with his selfies.

All the mothers in one room. Is everyone breathing OK?

Jennie Kim dominated the red carpet and the selfies.

Something about Aubrey Plaza in Jared Leto’s Met Gala’s cat head just makes sense.

The Met Gala is truly just the multiverse of celebs, and I love it!

Bad Bunny opted for a solo selfie instead, but I’m still grateful.

Maluma, meanwhile, assembled a whole squad for his selfie.

No thoughts… just Pedro Pascal and Bradley Cooper.

When she's not dissecting the latest pop culture events, you can find her reading a cheesy romance novel or establishing parasocial relationships with fictional TV characters. She loves to rewatch her favorite shows (Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, and Friends) or spend the day going down a rabbit hole of reality dating shows.
