Emma Chamberlain Reunited With Jack Harlow At The Met Gala & Couldn’t Handle It

The internet’s been with Emma Chamberlain through it all. Back when Chamberlain rocked teddy bear coats and scrunchies, she had millions of loyal followers. Fans flooded Walmart for her recently-released canned Chamberlain coffees. And, of course, everyone loved her even more after her viral Jack Harlow interview at the 2022 Met Gala.

In many ways, Chamberlain’s the perfect pick to interview celebrities at the Met Gala. Along with the fact that she hosts her own podcast, Anything Goes, her genuinity and wit makes her a refreshing voice on the star-studded carpet. At the 2022’s Met Gala, where the theme was Gilded Glamour, Chamberlain’s relatable personality was what made her shine. If you’ll recall, the content creator and business owner shared a hilarious interaction with Harlow. A popular rapper and impossibly cool guy, Harlow matched Chamberlain’s energy throughout the interview, claiming he wanted to “make sure she was comfortable.” Admirably, she managed to keep calm throughout the exchange. That is, until the very end, when her reaction said it all

A year has passed since Chamberlain and Harlow’s initial exchange, and at the 2023 Met Gala, they were reunited once again. Did the pair swap “love ya” again, as they did at the end of their previous interview? Did Chamberlain internally freak out after he left?

The answer to both of these questions is yes. Technically, Chamberlain freaked out before Harlow even got to her. After spotting Harlow on the red carpet, Chamberlain couldn’t stop herself from repeating, “Oh no, no, no, no.” She then motioned for Harlow to “get over here,” and from that moment on, history was made.

The tone of their conversation was pretty much the same as it was in 2022. There was, however, the added pressure of having to “out-do” what they did last year. After all, Chamberlain’s “love ya” became a viral TikTok sound. You can’t really get better than that. Still, this interview was nothing short of iconic, with Harlow spinning Chamberlain’s questions back to her. They ended on a hug, and one more “love ya” for good measure.

As Harlow describes himself and Chamberlain, the two of them are a “timeless partnership.” Their chill energy bounces perfectly off of one another, leaving me wanting more interactions from them. My message to Emma: Get him on the podcast ASAP.
