Maude Apatow’s Tribute To Angus Cloud Is Heartbreakingly Beautiful

On July 31, Euphoria breakout star Angus Cloud died at 25 in his home in Oakland, California. Cloud’s Euphoria co-stars have openly mourned the loss through social media, with fans noticing Maude Apatow’s silence. However, given the nature of the news, her social media absence was absolutely understandable.

Apatow broke her silence on Aug. 2, posting an Instagram carousel dedicated to Cloud. “Angus, getting to know and work with you was one of the greatest joys and blessings of my life,” Apatow wrote. “I will love you forever.”

Apatow is known for playing Lexi Howard on Euphoria, who was Fezco’s love interest. The two were also friends off camera, and were seen together on various outings, Hollywood Life reported. Cloud also reportedly posted a picture on his Instagram story calling their outing a “lil NYC date” and used #Fexi, a nod to their characters’ possible romance.

Given their close relationship on the show, fans were demanding a statement from Apatow after it was revealed Cloud died, prompting Zendaya to write “please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone.”

As more celebrities express their condolences and sadness, our thoughts are with his close family, friends, and cast members.
