Warning: Spoilers for Love Is Blind Season 4 follow. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if every single cast member from a Netflix reality show are connected in some way. Like Bachelor Nation, it seems as though the dating circle of Netflix stars is exclusive and close-knit: Remember how, like, every person on Perfect Match had already linked up? This might be a hot take, but it’s giving a little too close for comfort. Sorry!
While I’m incredibly anti-reality-TV-castmember-dating crossovers, there’s a recent ship that’s been showing up on social media that I actually can get behind: Marshall and Iyanna from Love Is Blind.
ICYMI, Marshall is one of the internet’s favorite cast members from Season 4 of Love Is Blind. After dealing with a love triangle in the pods, Marshall eventually got engaged to Jackie. However, the honeymoon phase didn’t last very long: Jackie’s ex from the pods, Josh, returned just a week before the weddings were to take place and professed his love for Jackie. The episode ended on a cliffhanger, leaving all of us to wonder, “Who is she going to choose?”
Because of Jackie’s sudden switch-up, fans of the show believe that Marshall deserves better and have been searching for the cast member’s (in true Netflix fashion) perfect match. While many viewers have been suggesting themselves, many LIB fans have their eyes set on Season 2’s Iyanna for Marshall’s heart.
Personally, Iyanna is one of my favorite people to ever appear on Love Is Blind. On Season 2, Iyanna brightened up the screen with her personality, and her emotional intelligence was seriously off the charts. While she ended the season engaged to Jarrette, Iyanna filed for divorce in October 2022 after announcing their separation in August 2022 for “unreconcilable differences.” Based on the couple’s statements, it’s safe to say that the split was mature and mess-free, and Iyanna has been thriving on social media ever since.
Since the messy climax of the Marshall-Jackie-Josh love triangle, fans of the show have been showing up in the comment sections of both Marshall’s and Iyanna’s social media pages to play matchmaker. In a TikTok posted on April 2 by Iyanna, a fan commented on the ship saying, “Leave her alone! Lol they gonna flood your comments with Marshall. It’s because both of you deserve the best though!” Iyanna replied saying, “I get it. I feel like I literally have a bunch of siblings looking out for me [laughing face emoji] I know it’s all love.”
Beyond that one reply to the comments, there hasn’t been any interaction between the two. Since Iyanna lives in Chicago and Marshall is based in Seattle, the two linking up seems like a long shot. But if there’s one thing I learned about the Netflix dating multiverse, it’s never say never!
So, that’s not stopping Twitter from talking about the ship.
With the reunion happening live on April 17, I’m expecting the unexpected. Here’s to hoping that, if Jackie and Marshall don’t work things out, he and Iyanna can find their way to each other.
