On April 6, all hell broke loose for Timotheé Chalamet fans. While rumors of him and Kylie Jenner dating have yet to be confirmed, pop culture IG Deuxmoi leaked DMs from followers who’ve apparently known about the reported couple for months. (Her Campus reached out to Jenner and Chalamet’s teams for comment on the reports but didn’t hear back.) These are hard times for anyone who harbored feelings for Chalamet. (Count me as one of them.) But, apparently, these are not hard times for Jenner.
Although Jenner’s been active on social media, she hasn’t responded to the drama at all. Instead, she’s been posting carefree pictures of herself sporting a pink bikini at the pool. The captions under these IG posts are just as irrelevant to the Chalamet situation, further provoking fans who just want answers. Since the rumors broke out, Instagram users have been leaving a slew of comments on Jenner’s account, like “R u dating Timothée?” and “Free Timothée.” These comments may be exacerbating the situation, making Jenner less inclined to spill the news. Or maybe there isn’t any news at all.
The only news that Jenner has recently shared is the launch of her Kylash Volume Mascara for Kylie Cosmetics. This promo pic was her third Instagram post since Deuxmoi basically incited a war on social media. And once again, it has nothing to do with Chalamet. Jenner’s random IGs have spurred the question: Is she purposely trying to distract fans from the situation? Or is she truly unaware of what’s going on?
Nothing is known for certain right now, though if I were to guess, Jenner’s probably posting these pictures as a diversion. Seeing as half of her latest comments are about her and Chalamet, it’s impossible for her to be ignorant of the rumors. Dozens of headlines have come out about the pair, too, and yet both she and Chalamet have remained silent.
It’s been about four months since Jenner ended her six-year-long relationship with Travis Scott, so it’s not surprising that she’d want to move on. As for Chalamet, there haven’t been reports of any new relationships since 2018, when he and Lily Rose Depp dated. Depp and Chalamet broke up in 2021, leaving him plenty of time to meet someone new. Maybe that someone is Jenner — who’s to say?
Deuxmoi could be wrong. This could all just be conjecture. My advice to Chalamet fans is to wait and see what happens, before they jump to any conclusions or — even worse — continue to send Jenner hate comments. And my advice to Jenner and Chalamet is to address the news sooner than later. If they sit on it for too long, things could get ugly.
