Watch out Sylvester Stallone, there’s a new Rocky coming soon. Travis Barker announced that his and Kourtney Kardashian-Barker’s son’s name will be Rocky Thirteen on the Oct. 30 episode of the One Life One Chance Podcast. “Being a parent… that’s my greatest role I play in this world, in life,” Barker said. “My kids are my everything. I take so much pride in being a father.”
Fans suspected the name after members of the Kardashian-Jenner family posted content from Baby Barker’s Disneyland-themed baby shower back in September. Zooming in on insta stories, fans noticed (duh, nothing gets past them!) notes to “Baby Rocky” with well wishes for his life and happiness hanging from a “wishing tree.”
The Blink-182 drummer also confirmed his son is due to be born on Halloween or soon after on the Oct. 30 podcast episode. Barker confirmed they had the name picked out in June.
Why Rocky Thirteen? Earlier this year, Barker talked about the name in an episode of Complex’s Goat Talk Series. (Fans didn’t know for sure that this was the name they settled on, though!) The last question he pulled for the interview was “GOAT baby name.” This was his first reference to his love for the name Rocky Thirteen. He explained that Suicidal Tendencies’ guitarist was Rocky George, and “13 is just the greatest number of all time.”
Barker’s daughter, Alabama Barker, was NOT on the same page, laughing and imagining her soon-to-be brother’s name being called at school. Clearly, that didn’t stop the couple in the end. Khloé Kardashian agreed that this baby is “lucky number 13,” as he will be the 13th grandchild in the Kardashian-Jenner fam.
Given the rock-and-roll trajectory of the couple’s baby announcements (like their recreation of Blink-182’s “All the Small Things” music video for their pregnancy announcement), it makes sense they would settle on a rock-and-roll name for their first baby together.
Kardashian-Barker has three children with her ex-partner, Scott Disick: Mason Disick, 13, Penelope Disick, 11, and Reign Disick, 8. Barker shares two children with ex-wife, Shanna Moakler: Landon Barker, 20, and Alabama Barker, 17.
