In a recently deleted Instagram post, Justin Bieber promoted his new song “Yummy” by asking fans to follow instructions that would manipulate the single to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Some of the instructions included “Create a playlist with ‘Yummy’ on repeat and stream it,” but, “Don’t mute it, play it at a low volume.” He also told his followers to “Let it play while you sleep,” and suggested overseas fans use a VPN.
To make sure the message was perfectly clear, Justin also went live on Instagram to reiterate his urgency for “Yummy” to come out on top. “If you’re on here, go stream ‘Yummy’ like please, because I really want this freaking spot,” he said. While you can expect most of the steady Beliebers to make it their personal mission to stream the song, others are looking at this request as a little desperate.
According to Rolling Stone’s Top 100, Justin has been battling for number one with Roddy Ricch’s, “The Box,” which is trending with 23.8 million streams, compared to “Yummy’s” 10.9 million.
Just a reminder, if you feel desperate, Justin Bieber spent 10 million + on radio Payola, released 5 signed CDs and 7 vinyls for his new single after it became obvious it wasn’t going to hit number one, and a ‘game’ for it. pic.twitter.com/NmXJB7cCSJ

Here’s the thing: Justin has been battling for number one with Roddy Ricch’s single, “The Box.” Don’t worry though, there’s no beef between the two artists. Although “The Box” is trending with 23.8 million streams, compared to “Yummy’s” 10.9 million, Rapper Roddy Ricch encouraged his fans to help Justin out by streaming his new song. However, the replies under the tweet itself display some resistance to Roddy’s kind gesture.
you will sit there and you will take my streams for the box and you will LIKE IT

Without a doubt, JB will be fine. We’re talking about Justin “If I was your boyfriend, I’d never let you go” Bieber. The same person that had “Baby” playing everywhere on repeat in 2009, and who stole our hearts when he married Hailey Baldwin back in 2018. Despite his struggle for number one, “Yummy” has totaled around 57 million views on YouTube, and has been the source of a new irresistible dance challenge on TikTok and Instagram.

We’ll make sure to keep an eye on those charts, because to be honest, it just gives us another excuse to dance.
