Here’s Why Eugene Wasn’t In The Try Guys Podcast About Ned

The Ned Fulmer cheating drama continues. On Oct. 6, The Try Guys took to their podcast, The TryPod, to spill the tea on everything that really went down — but fans were quick to notice that a certain Try Guy (besides Fulmer, obvi) wasn’t in the episode. While Zach Kornfield and Keith Habersberger sat down with their podcast producer Miles Bonsignore to dish about everything, Eugene Lee Yang was completely MIA. But why?

Fans on Twitter and Reddit began to worry and speculate about Yang’s absence from the podcast, especially considering his anger in the video The Try Guys uploaded on Oct. 3 to all their social media platforms. In the video, Yang seemed pretty upset about the whole ordeal compared to Kornfield and Habersberger, who took a more saddened and disappointed approach to addressing the news. Yang’s reaction in the video had fans excitedly anticipating his take on the podcast, which then left many of them disappointed when he wasn’t in the episode. One user tweeted, They don’t have Eugene in the new try guys podcast about the scandal and I’m honestly disappointed lol. I wanna see what he was thinking 😭.” Another tweeted, “No Eugene but he would be so angry during the podcast tbh.

But there’s no more tea here, besties. Kornfield and Habersberger addressed Yang’s absence on the podcast, stressing that they want to move forward with “full transparency” in this “new era” of The Try Guys — especially after everything that happened with Fulmer. As Kornfield talked about the guys’ commitment to honesty with their audience, Habersberger mentioned the elephant in the room, saying, “And I also want to say, because you might be like, ‘Why isn’t Eugene here?’” Kornfield quickly butted in, saying, “To be totally open and frank, Eugene does not like doing podcasts.” The rest of the team erupted in laughter, and Kornfield continued, “He likes doing it every now and then, but we are going to be rebranding the show, either this week or next week… It’s the Zach and Keith show, baby!

Kornfield continued to share their goals for the podcast, saying, “We’re gonna have Miles and Rainey joining us as well, but that’s the future of this podcast. Eugene doesn’t love doing it. There’s an element to this show that forces you to share certain things about your life that is not for everyone, and that’s that.

Fans shared their thoughts on the new podcast rebrand, but the consensus seemed to be mostly positive, with one user saying that they were super down with [it].

Does that mean Yang will never be in The TryPod again? Who knows — but I’m still petitioning for Yang to have his very own solo episode where he can spill all the tea, unfiltered.
