A new season of Dancing with the Stars means a new cast, new partnerships, and, of course, new team names. The DWTS Season 35 cast features 16 celebrities paired with professional dancers, and these pairings are unmatched. As the premiere gets closer, many of the couples have started revealing the team names fans can use to support them throughout the competition.
Over the years, DWTS team names have become part of each season’s excitement, giving fans a way to rally behind their favorite partnerships on social media. While some couples keep things simple by combining their names, others get a little more creative — and the Season 35 cast delivered. This season’s names include plenty of puns, inside jokes, and clever references to the stars themselves.
Not every Season 35 couple has officially announced a team name yet, and fans have even stepped in with their own suggestions. So, whether you already know which couple is getting all of your votes or you are still deciding, here are all of the DWTS Season 35 team names we know so far.
- Tyler Cameron & Sharna Burgess: “Team SharT”
-
Over the past few weeks, the runner-up on season 15 of The Bachelorette, Tyler Cameron, has made it clear on social media that he wants his team name with Sharna Burgess to be “Team SharT.” He explains that the name came from combining “Sharna” and “Tyler” to create “SharT.” Cameron even showed up to rehearsal with a shirt that said “Team SharT” with his and Burgess’s faces on it. While Cameron seems enthusiastic about the team name, Burgess has expressed opposition to it. But fans are loving the hilarious banter between the pair. “Everyone needs a good shart every once in a while,” Cameron said in a TikTok.
- Julia Stiles & Ezra Sosa: “Team SoStilez”
-
Julia Stiles is best known for starring in iconic films like 10 Things I Hate About You and Save the Last Dance. Although Stiles played an aspiring dancer in Save the Last Dance, she has made it clear that her character’s dance experience does not translate to her real life. Now, she is stepping onto the ballroom floor with pro Ezra Sosa. The pair named themselves “Team SoStilez,” combining “So” from Sosa with “Stile” from Stiles and adding a “z” at the end. Sosa explained the name as, “So Stiles and Ez at the end.”
- Giada De Laurentiis & Alan Bersten: “Team Aldente”
-
With Giada De Laurentiis’s experience as an Emmy Award-winning chef, the name for her team with Alan Bersten is perfectly fitting: “Team Aldente.” The name is a play on the term “Al Dente,” meaning “to the tooth” in Italian cooking, combined with the pair’s names.
- Jenna Dewan & Val Chmerkovskiy: “Team WeDeWan”
-
Jenna Dewan, who started her career as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson and played Nora Clark in the 2006 film Step Up, is no stranger to the dance floor. Her team name with Val Chmerkovskiy is “Team WeDeWan,” which is a play on her last name, “Dewan.” The team name is meant to sound like “We The One.”
- Ezra Frech & Daniella Karagach: “Team Footloose”
-
Ezra Frech is a two-time Paralympian and double below-knee amputee who competes in long jump, high jump, and sprinting events. His team name with Daniella Karagach is “Team Footloose,” which they announced in a TikTok video where Frech jokingly dropped his prosthetic leg while dancing. With Frech’s athleticism and sense of humor, this duo will definitely bring plenty of entertainment and talent to the ballroom.
- Conner Leavitt & Adele Zaikman: “Leav-ele up”
-
Conner Leavitt is best known as the husband of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt, but he has also built a social media following of his own. After supporting his wife during her time on DWTS, Leavitt is now stepping into the ballroom himself with pro Adele Zaikman. The pair named their team “Leav-ele Up,” combining Leavitt’s last name with Zaikman’s first name, Adele, to create a play on the phrase “level up.”
- Ciara Miller & Brandon Armstrong: “Team Millerball”
-
Ciara Miller is best known for starring on Bravo’s Summer House, but she has also appeared on The Traitors, worked as an ICU nurse, and built a successful modeling career. Now, Miller is taking on the ballroom with pro Brandon Armstrong. The pair combined Miller’s last name with the coveted Mirrorball Trophy to create “Team Millerball.” If the team name is any indication, Miller and Armstrong already have their eyes on the prize.
- Sarah Jane Nader & Hailey Bills: “Estrogenz”
-
Sarah Jane Nader is a model and reality TV star who stars alongside her three sisters, including former DWTS contestant Brooks Nader, on Love Thy Nader. Now, Nader is following in her older sister’s footsteps and entering the ballroom with first-time pro Hailey Bills. The pair is making history as the second all-female partnership in DWTS history, so their team name, “Estrogenz,” could not be more fitting (especially since they’re both Gen Z).
- Guillermo Rodriguez & Witney Carson: “Team Mo-Ney”
-
Guillermo Rodriguez is best known as Jimmy Kimmel’s longtime sidekick on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he has become a fan favorite for his hilarious segments and red carpet interviews. Rodriguez originally worked as a parking lot security guard for the show before becoming an on-air personality more than 20 years ago. Now, he is taking his personality to the ballroom alongside pro Witney Carson. The pair combined “Mo,” from Guillermo, and “Ney,” from Witney, to create their team name, “Team Mo-Ney.”
- Harry Shum Jr. & Jenna Johnson: “ShumLikeItHot”
-
Harry Shum Jr. is best known for playing Mike Chang on Glee and Dr. Benson “Blue” Kwan on Grey’s Anatomy. Before becoming an actor, Shum was a professional dancer, performing alongside artists like Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Mariah Carey. Now, he is bringing his dance experience to the ballroom with pro Jenna Johnson. The pair named their team “ShumLikeItHot,” a direct play on the famous 1959 comedy Some Like It Hot, replacing “Some” with Shum’s last name.
- Connor Wood & Rylee Arnold: “Ryconic”
-
Connor Wood is a comedian and content creator known online as “Fibula,” where he has built a following of more than 1 million people across social media. He also co-hosts Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast alongside fellow content creator Brooke Averick. Now, Wood is bringing his comedy to the ballroom with pro Rylee Arnold. The pair combined “Ry” from Rylee with the beginning of Connor’s name to create “Ryconic,” a play on the word “iconic.”
- Taylor Hanson & Britt Stewart: “Team Brittay”
-
Taylor Hanson is best known as the lead singer of the pop-rock band Hanson, which he formed with his brothers Isaac and Zac when he was just 9 years old. The band rose to fame in 1997 with its hit song “MMMBop,” which reached No. 1 in 27 countries. Now, Hanson is trading the stage for the ballroom with pro Britt Stewart. The pair combined their first names, Britt and Taylor, to create their DWTS team name, “Team Brittay.”
- Tatyana Ali & Jan Ravnik: “Team TatJan”
-
Tatyana Ali is best known for playing Ashley Banks on the iconic ’90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and she can currently be seen in a recurring role on Abbott Elementary. Now, Ali is heading to the ballroom with pro Jan Ravnik. While fans have been pushing for the clever “Team TatyJANa,” Ali appears to have chosen something a little simpler. In the caption of a Sept. 3 TikTok, she referred to the pair as “Team TatJan,” combining the beginning of both of their first names.
- Amber Glenn & Pasha Pashkov: “Team Cha-Cha-Glide”
-
Amber Glenn is an Olympic gold medalist and three-time U.S. national champion in figure skating. She helped Team USA win gold in the figure skating team event at the 2026 Winter Olympics and is known for being one of the few women in the world to land a triple Axel in competition. Now, Glenn is trading the ice for the ballroom with pro Pasha Pashkov. The pair named themselves “Team Cha-Cha-Glide,” a play on the popular song and dance “Cha Cha Slide.” The name swaps “slide” for “glide,” cleverly referencing Glenn’s figure skating background.
- Maura Higgins & Mark Ballas: “Team Tink”
-
Maura Higgins first rose to fame on Season 5 of Love Island UK and has since become a familiar face in the United States, hosting Love Island USA: Aftersun and recently finishing as the runner-up on The Traitors. It was actually on The Traitors where Higgins first met her DWTS partner, Mark Ballas. The pair named themselves “Team Tink,” a reference to Higgins’s Irish accent and her pronunciation of the word “think.” After viewers of The Traitors began spelling it “tink” online, Higgins embraced the joke herself, making it the perfect team name for the duo.
- Jackson Olson & Emma Slater: have teased “Team Slay-son” (unconfirmed)
-
Jackson Olson is a second baseman for the Savannah Bananas, the viral baseball team known for combining baseball with dancing and entertainment. Now, he is bringing his performance skills to the ballroom with pro Emma Slater. While the pair has teased “Team Slay-son,” fans have suggested names like “Team Slater Up” and “Team Banana Split.” On Sept. 11, Olson teased, “Team name coming soon…” so fans should find out the official name soon.
IDK about you, but I can’t wait for this season.
