Celebrate Queer Joy By Following These TikTok Drag Artists

When I was younger, I discovered makeup tutorials on YouTube maybe a little too early. I would spend hours watching Bethany Mota, NikkieTutorials, Amanda Steele, Michelle Phan, and so many more. Learning how to do my makeup brought me comfort, confidence, and excitement. As I grew up and started to wear makeup on a more daily basis, I developed my own routine and did not watch tutorials much anymore. Until I saw drag artists on TikTok. While I will probably never attempt the makeup looks myself, I am fascinated with how talented, kind, and understanding these artists are. Their videos make me laugh, think, and appreciate their pride in their work.

In honor of these incredible artists, and Pride Month, I want to highlight a few drag artists from TikTok who have truly created an incredible support system and safe space on social media.  Despite the devastating recent news surrounding drag show bans, drag queens, kings, and artists continue to share their passions and positive vibes with us all. Drag culture is something so unique and incredibly important to masses of people. I hope you are ready to dedicate at least an hour of your day to scrolling through TikTok and looking at these incredible artists’ pages. Make sure to give them a follow, show your support, and share with others, during Pride Month and beyond.
