Your GRWMs & Day In The Life TikToks Need These Capcut Transitions

With the ever-growing presence of content creation, filming and editing styles have been changed by the creation of user-friendly video editing apps. From fast-paced vlogs to seamless GRWMs, creators have been upping their social media game with their editing skills. The secret formula? Capcut.

If you’ve ever wondered why Monet McMichael’s makeup videos seemed to be perfectly cut between each clip or how suddenly every TikToker is an expert in filming vlogs, I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t take a degree in film production. Capcut is an easy-to-use editing app with pre-made templates, effects, and aesthetic fonts to elevate your TikTok videos, and it’s the magic behind many viral videos. Though the templates and effects can spice up your videos, transitions are the key ingredient.

Transitions are what make day-in-the-life videos fun to watch or transformation videos seem like magic. And thankfully, Capcut’s transition capabilities can help you achieve these effortlessly changes between clips. From built-in transitions to custom ones using tools in the apps, here are eight of the best Capcut transitions.

Twirling Transition

Whether you’re traveling with a significant other or a best friend, this adorable twirling transition can spice up your vlogs. Capcut makes it easy to merge all the videos into a cohesive sequence, so your only job is to sit there and look cute while you spin from city to city.

Bubble Blur

Have you ever been down a TikTok rabbit hole of watching velocity fan edits of your favorite OTP or your celeb crush? (It’s OK, me too.) Well, this built-in Capcut transition, Bubble Blur, makes you feel like you’re the star of the edit. Simply put it in between two videos and suddenly you’re the main character of a music video. Can we normalize making fan edits of ourselves?

Jump Up

One of the OG TikTok transitions was jumping up and down in between clips to get the perfect outfit transformation. Instead of all the stopping, cutting, timers, and retakes, Capcut makes this GRWM transition easier. The app allows you to elevate the iconic jump up transition, such as stopping mid-air to catch the shirt you’re putting on, or you can stick to the tried and true quick-change.

Stop-motion is a unique way to tell a story. From subtle movements that make a cohesive animation to even an eye-catching GRWM, this transition has been a hit on TikTok for all the different routes you can take with it. The Capcut stop-motion transition will make you look like you’re a professional editor and take your videos to the next level.

Glitch

Maybe you’re telling a flashback, or you want to trick your fans. Either way, the glitch transition is an easy way to add some spice to a video. This pre-made Capcut transition will let you mark a change in time or add a sick change in clips in a vlog. It can also be used to poke fun at the beloved TikTok glitch. Though the TikTok glitch is unintentional, it always seems to make the videos look cooler, IMO.

Spin Change

I’m always in awe of styling videos of showstopping outfits, especially when the creators use high-quality, seamless transitions between each look. The spin change transition can help achieve the effortlessly cool vibes these videos evoke. Whether you’re showing off your outfits of the week or giving fashion inspo for summer, this transition will make your video pop.

Old Film

Whenever a film effect is added to a picture or video, a pang of nostalgia always hits. Film effects in videos are great ways to reminisce on memories. The built-in old film transition on Capcut is an easy way to add a vintage effect that makes your life feel like a movie. It’s also a great transition if you feel like crying while putting together videos of you and your friends throughout the years — grads, I’m looking at you.
