Be Part of MasterCard’s #internswanted Campaign

MasterCard is on a global search for interns! The MasterCard #internswanted campaign is part social media and part innovative creation, and challenges students to come up with an idea for a product, system, app, technique (or anything else, really) that can help people go cashless in the future.

To apply, candidates will need to include a link to a creative submission for a product, system, app, or technique that can help people go cashless in the future. How this is displayed is entirely up to you– you could go cash-free for an entire week and document the experience, design an online marketing campaign about smartphones replacing wallets, or anything else! The only real requirement is to make it as thoughtful and innovative as possible (and please, no essays or thesis papers). The submission could be a blog post, a Facebook page or campaign, a video, a series of tweets, or anything else that shows how innovative you can be!

Once they complete their submission, candidates will compete with each other using social media using #internswanted. The more favorites or retweets it gets, the better the candidate’s chance of success– and make sure you’re following @MasterCard on Twitter if you aren’t already, because if you’re selected for an interview, you’ll be notified via Direct Message by April 15th!

Starting June 3rd, the 5 most intelligent, creative, social media savvy applicants will be rewarded with an internship at one of the MasterCard offices, either in Purchase, New York or in St. Louis, Missouri– along with an impressive new section on their resume!

If you’re interested in applying, check out some of MasterCard’s awesome webisodes to get a better feel for the initiative and to get your creative juices flowing, take their weekly poll to learn new things about going cashless (and maybe get some ideas for your submission!), and join the #internswanted group on LinkedIn for access to helpful information and the chance to ask the MasterCard team any questions you might have. Good luck!
