I Have 1 Big Question About Bartise & Nancy On ‘Love Is Blind’

The first four episodes of Season 3 of Love Is Blind dropped on Netflix on Oct. 19, and already, it’s been a whirlwind. While there’s five main couples to follow after the pods, though, there’s one in particular that stands out: Bartise and Nancy. Their relationship has been nothing short of a rollercoaster, with the two acting all lovey-dovey one moment, and the next, getting into a *major* fight at the end of Episode 4. Bartise literally told Nancy that another woman he dated in the pods was a “f*cking smokeshow” — to her face! Yeah, no thanks. Bartise clearly has some massive red flags, and still, I can’t help but wonder: Do Bartise and Nancy get married? Spoiler alert: Spoilers for Love Is Blind Season 3 follow.

Bartise and Nancy got engaged in the pods — but they might not have been each other’s first choices.

Bartise and Nancy, like most couples on Love Is Blind, didn’t exclusively date each other while in the pods. Bartise dated Raven — who ended up getting engaged to SK — while Nancy dated and even got proposed to by Andrew (Andrew didn’t end up with anyone). Nancy turned down Andrew’s proposal, though, because she felt like Bartise was her one true love.

Bartise said that he had a lot of trouble deciding between Raven and Nancy and even “cried” over it in the pods. One point of concern between Bartise and Nancy was their five-year age gap, but at the end of the day, he chose Nancy and proposed to her at the start of Episode 3. Before their engagement, Nancy gushed to the camera, “If I get engaged today, I hope it’s Bartise. It has to be Bartise. There’s no one else but Bartise.”

“I remember walking out after meeting you for the first time and the way I felt, and the guys, ‘cause they went, ‘My goodness. Like, you met somebody?’ Damn right I met somebody. I walked out of there with such a smile on my face. I feel crazy highs with you… I’ve never felt this way about anybody,” Bartise told Nancy through the wall before proposing to her.

The first time they met IRL, sparks flew.

“I’m very attracted to Nancy,” Bartise said, laughing to the camera. “I’m having a hard time keeping my eyes, um, above Nancy’s neck, if you know what I’m saying.” (Wow, real classy.) He later continued, “I liked everything emotionally, and I like everything physically, so it’s gonna work.”

To the camera, Nancy said, “Honestly, it’s just the beginning of the rest of our lives. I know he’s gonna be my best friend.” She even did a little dance at the end of their meet-up.

Things started going south on their romantic getaway.

All the couples ended up going on a romantic getaway to Malibu, California, and that’s where Bartise and Nancy’s relationship seriously went downhill —  but things didn’t start that way. Bartise said that the two’s relationship was “natural,” “comfortable,” “fun,” and “energetic,” saying, “We had a good first night. She’d agree.”

Nancy later told the camera, “Every single part of his body is very attractive, but that wasn’t the first thing in my mind to like, ‘Oh, I wanna have sex with you.’ I think that great sex for me comes from the emotional connection.” Nancy continued, “I’m proud to call Bartise my fiancé.”

However, later in the episode, the two talked again about their age gap, with Nancy telling Bartise that she wouldn’t tell her girlfriends Bartise’s age right off the bat. But it seems like off camera, the two have talked a lot about their age gap and are “on the same page.”

Their relationship took a major turn after Bartise saw Raven IRL.

While Bartise seemed head-over-heels for Nancy, he still seemed to be a bit hung up over Raven when all the couples hung out one night for drinks. Bartise repeatedly talked about Raven’s body to the camera (once again, real classy), and later said, “I closed that door with Raven. I didn’t get her that attention that she’s used to in the real world. Anywhere she goes, she’s gonna have heads turning, right? But I kind of experience that same thing. We’re both kind of the attention getters.” (I’m sorry, but Bartise has to be a Leo — and the worst kind, at that.)

Bartise continued, “If I had any regrets in the pod experience, it would be cutting things off too quickly with Raven and not giving her that last day or day and a half that we would have had together. There’s definitely feelings there [for Raven], and it’s crazy that there’s two girls in the same spot that I was falling in love with. So I don’t know how I’m gonna deal with all that.”

If it wasn’t enough ranting for nearly five minutes about Raven to the camera, later in their hotel room, Bartise basically reiterated everything to Nancy — yeah, I know. Bartise sat Nancy down on the bed before telling her, “I loved seeing Raven for the first time. Raven’s the typical girl that I would go after in the real world.” It gets worse. “She came down, she was wearing these tight clothes. I was like, ‘Okay, she’s a f*cking smokeshow.’”

Later, Nancy tearily told the camera, “Like, what the f*ck? If you want a tall, blond fitness girl, go to a body competition. Find her there. Don’t go on an experiment that is gonna potentially line you up with someone that’s the complete opposite of what you like.”

So… Will Bartise and Nancy get married?

So, like everyone else, my big question is this: Will Bartise and Nancy get married? Only time will tell. (But I will say, neither of them have posted about each other on social media as of yet — the only promo they’ve done for Love Is Blind has only included photos and clips of themselves.) The next three episodes of Love Is Blind drop on Oct. 26 on Netflix.
