Sophie Ali is a writer and culture editor at the Glasgow Her Campus chapter. She's passionate about articles covering events in film, literature, and music that contribute to building today's media landscape.
Prior to Her Campus, Sophie was a culture editor and writer for The Glasgow Guardian, where she pitched articles for the books section and worked with contributors to publish strong, impactful articles. Before beginning her studies at Glasgow University in 2025, she formed and led a student newspaper at her high-school, where she was editor-in-chief for four years, running a team of 20+ students. She is currently a second-year student completing joint-honors in English Literature and Business Management.
Sophie is a singer/songwriter and spends her free time working on her music, playing shows, and listening to her favorite artists. She also loves baking, reading, and Facetiming her dogs, who live in America.
