My name is Olivia Sheppard and I am a sophomore at Delaware State University. I am a legal studies major and hope to become a lawyer. I have always been interested in crime and the legal field. I was born in PG County, Maryland but was raised in Smyrna, Delaware. I have family members that are Delaware State University alumni, which influenced my decision to attend an HBCU. I am very proud to continue the legacy and be around students who share the same experiences as me.
Some of my hobbies include watching documentaries and listening to music. Documentaries that I enjoy are mostly crime related. I love learning about the ins and outs of criminals and the legal process. This is what mainly sparked my interest in law and wanting to pursue this field. My favorite music genre is definitely R&B. I would consider myself an old soul but I do enjoy a lot of new artists as well. One of my top artists being PartynextDoor.
A fun fact about myself is that I played on the varsity volleyball team for four years at my high-school and even won MVP. I also graduated high school with over 40 college credits and was able to classify as a sophomore, my first year.
