Naimarys Barbot is a student at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez where she is majoring in Industrial Engineering. Aside from maths and technology, her love for music and reading has driven her to develop a deep passion for storytelling. From a very young age she has been working towards publishing her own series of fantasy books. Some other activities that she partakes in are: baking for her very own dessert business, rehearsing with the university's choir, and photography.
Constant learning is very important to her, always looking for opportunities and spaces in which she can grow. Working with Her Campus provides a creative outlet where she can share her own interest and opinions, as well as research new topics. A strong motivator for her is advocating against Artificial Intelligence. Her main goal is to keep literature and journalism alive in a society where creative effort is being repressed.
