Mikayla Bunnell is a senior honors student at the University of Connecticut pursuing a dual degree in political science and journalism with a minor in writing. She likes to write about current events, politics, music, and books. Aside from serving as president of Her Campus UConn, Mikayla is also editor in chief of her college yearbook and semesterly magazine, Nutmeg Publishing. She is also news editor of her school paper, The Daily Campus, and vice president of the UConn chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. When she graduates, Mikayla wants to be a policy reporter, highlighting and explaining the policies that affect citizens every day.
When she's not writing, you can find Mikayla curled up with a good book (on her Kindle). She loves to read anything from cheesy rom-coms to thrillers and murder mysteries. And if she's not reading, you'll either find her at the gym getting a lift in or with her roommates getting coffee at Dunkin'.
