Hello! My name is Makenzie Ingram. I am a psychology and communications major with a minor in business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I hope to get a job in marketing or PR once I graduate. Beyond HerCampus, I am a part of the American Marketing Association where I work as a consultant, helping companies analyze and better their social media/websites. As for professional experience, I have worked as a head swim instructor, lifeguard, and dining hall worker.
I am originally from Southern Illinois, about thirty minutes away from St. Louis and have lived there my whole life. In my free time I enjoy going on walks, reading, and writing. My current favorite fast food spot is Raisin Cane’s and I always get their box combo. With friends, I love to go to the movies, go thrifting, or go on a fun hike.
I am beyond excited to become a member of Her Campus and to contribute to this wonderful organization. I hope to make connections, gain professional experience, and make life long friends with the lovely ladies of this group. I love the idea of a newsletter written for and by women and I hope to be a great contribution.
