I've enjoyed writing ever since I was little. I managed to be able to write more during high school when I took a humanities class where there were consistent writing assignments based on rather unique topics. At the end of my freshman year, I did a ten page research project where I chose to base it on Marilyn Monroe. I wrote about her cinematography, how the public perceived her, how limited she was during her time in history, and what she wanted to be.
After my freshman year, I decided to join the yearbook club as a sophomore. I took photos, wrote paragraphs based on events like homecoming, Friday Night Lights, clubs, and more. I also decided to take college classes for composition where I was regularly assigned different and rather controversial topics to write about.
I was Chief Editor in the yearbook club for my junior year which allowed me to take on more responsibility for the yearbook. It allowed me to do more pages in the yearbook, help with deciding on a cover, and more freedom with how I write.
Unfortunately, I ended up not doing yearbook club for my senior year but I did begin to write short stories and continue to do so.
