Hi! I’m Kenly, a first-year Finance student and writer for Her Campus at Florida State University. I write about college life, lifestyle, organization, careers, and the everyday experiences that come with being a college student. I’m especially interested in creating content that feels relatable and useful for other college girls, whether that means finding ways to make busy routines feel more enjoyable, navigating life on campus, preparing for the future, or simply making the most of the college experience. I joined Her Campus because I wanted a creative outlet where I could share my perspective as a first-year student while connecting with other girls and becoming more involved in the FSU community.
Before coming to FSU, I completed dual enrollment through Santa Fe College while finishing high school and earned my Associate in Arts degree. I’m now pursuing a degree in Finance at Florida State University with the goal of becoming a financial advisor. My interest in business and personal finance has made me especially interested in careers, financial independence, planning for the future, and the transition from college into the professional world. Outside of Her Campus, I’m involved in several FSU organizations, including Finance Society, Women in Business, and CHAARG. I’m also excited to continue building my writing and professional experience throughout college.
Outside of school, I love spending time with the people I’m closest to, exploring Tallahassee, listening to music, watching movies and shows, playing video games, and finding fun things to do around campus. I’ve also been involved in weightlifting for several years and enjoy staying active. I’m someone who likes having a lot going on, whether that means joining a new organization, working toward a career goal, exploring somewhere new, or making memories with friends. As I experience my first year at FSU, I hope my writing can capture both the exciting and relatable parts of college life and give readers a glimpse into the experience from the perspective of a first-year student.
