Kendall Sweat is a staff writer at the Her Campus Florida State chapter. It’s her first year, and she can’t wait to start writing articles that relate to campus, culture, and lifestyle!
Besides working on Her Campus, Kendall is also a member of the Society of Collegiate Journalists. This organization aims to connect students with alumni, professional networks, and opportunities for those interested in journalism, media, and law. One day, she hopes to join the radio station that is here on campus! Kendall is currently a Freshman at FSU majoring in English- Editing, Writing, and Media and aspiring to be a History minor.
In her free time, Kendall enjoys writing poetry and is greatly inspired by Mary Oliver. Her favorite poem is “Wild Geese”; a copy of it hangs above her bed. Kendall also loves to read and enjoys going to as many concerts as possible. Her favorite concert so far has been the indie rock band the 4411 (she’s seen them twice!). She’s incapable of doing anything half-heartedly and will digest media concerningly quickly when she becomes obsessed – which happens pretty often.
