Karelys Concepción is an editor at the Her Campus UPRm chapter. She loves all things literature, so it is no surprise editing is one of her passions. More than expressing her own ideas, she likes making sure people get to express theirs freely, and clearly.
Beyond Her Campus, Karelys has participated in competitions like Poetry Out Loud, and has focused on the theater group in her old high school as a choreographer. She believes that art makes human more sensitive to our daily struggles, so she tries to be a part of any group focused in spreading the information all humanity desperately craves.
She is currently a freshman at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez campus, majoring in Chemical Engineering with the hope of finishing a masters in said field.
In her free time, Karelys likes doing a bit of everything, ranging from reading, playing sports, to doing math exercises for fun. She’s a jack of all trades, and she relishes on learning something new every day.
