Hi, my name is Julianna Muniz, and I am a first-year honors student at Merrimack College, where I am double-majoring in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. I am an involved member of my campus, and I enjoy taking on leadership roles that allow me to connect with others and build strong communities. Currently, I serve as the Vice President of Administration of the Kappa Omicron chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha, where I manage organization, communication, and behind-the-scenes operations that keep the chapter running smoothly. I am also the Secretary for Women in Business, where I assist with planning, organization, and communications, while helping promote professional development for women across all majors on my campus.
Although I am new to the writing world, I believe it is a great way to express myself and connect with others. I enjoy writing pieces that are raw, honest, and relatable, especially those that are centered around self-growth, relationships, and navigating college life. I am also drawn to writing that balances vulnerability and transparency with encouragement, and I strive to create content that makes young women like me feel seen and understood in their experiences.
Outside of academics, I love to spend time with friends and family, stay involved on campus, and find the little things in life that help me recharge and find peace. I am passionate about leadership, personal growth, and redefining expectations that are placed on young women, especially when it comes to college life. As I start my journey as a Her Campus writer, I am excited to share my perspective that highlights the ups and downs of college life, while encouraging others to take on their own journeys with authenticity and confidence.
