Hello everyone! My name is Jenna and I am a Marketing student at Iowa State University. I graduate in December 2026 with hopes of working in the publishing industry after graduation. I am currently a Marketing Intern at Iowa State Extension and Outreach where we help residents of Iowa with resources and information they need to better themselves and their communities.
I am a person of many hobbies and am always seeking new ones to pick up. I enjoy reading, writing, painting, drawing, crocheting, listening to music, collecting old physical media, and watching films. I am a very creative person and believe creativity is one of humanity’s most powerful offerings, so I strive to incorporate it into every aspect of my life. I am also very passionate when it comes to environmental advocacy, animal welfare, politics, and humanitarianism.
Writing has been a passion of mine since I was little. When I was a kid, I would write short stories on my grandma's notepad and use up all her paper and then make her read them. If I wasn't coloring or running around with the neighbors—I was writing. Getting back into reading has made me aware of how powerful and impactful writing is and I want to contribute to that with my own writing. The book that made me want to take writing seriously is my all time favorite, “The Anthropocene Reviewed: Essays on a Human-Centered Planet” by John Green. He has beautiful prose and writes with such unique perspectives that it makes his writing truly exceptional.
I’m happy you're here and I'm excited for you to read my work!
