As part of the writing and editing committee in the Her Campus TAMU chapter, Hajin Park predominantly articulates her articles based on modern conversations; namely, the ones that most people otherwise shy away from. From unsolicited advice on relationships to guidance on (quite early) mid-life crises, she circulates her work around one fundamental belief: people have forgotten how to talk to each other about life’s simplest pleasures.
Beyond Her Campus, Hajin is pursuing a political science degree with a military studies minor in the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. There, she is a member of Texas Aggie Democrats and the pre-law fraternity KAPi and passionately advocates against hyper-polarization in politics to encourage civilized conversations amongst all ends of the political spectrum. Further, having entered TAMU as a first-time freshman with an associate’s degree from Tarrant County College, Hajin brings a broader perspective to Her Campus that features experiences both first-year applicants and transfer students can relate to.
More personally, Hajin spends her leisure time training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, studying for the LSAT, and most oftentimes, chronically oversharing to her best friends at the top floor of Sterling C. Evans Library. As a recent enlistee of the United States Marine Corps Reserve, she is rolling into adulthood with the goal of establishing a healthy work–life balance (and more importantly, an acceptance letter into law school), living life through a “work hard–play hard” mentality.
