I am a junior at the University of Michigan studying Secondary Education with a focus in English. I chose this path because of my love for literature and my desire to inspire students to develop their own voices through reading and writing. My goal is to teach at the high school level and create a classroom where students feel valued and supported.
Through my studies, I’ve gained experience with teaching strategies, classroom management, and inclusive practices. These opportunities have strengthened my commitment to education and shown me the importance of fostering equity and creativity in learning environments.
Outside of academics, I enjoy reading, writing, and spending time with friends. I also practice yoga, which helps me find balance and stay grounded. These interests give me joy and energy that I hope to bring into my future teaching career.
