Corazon Rivera is the Communications Director for the Illinois chapter of Voters of Tomorrow — a Gen-Z-led organization focused on mobilizing and engaging young voters in politics and government — and a current second-year Political Science and Journalism student at George Washington University. Growing up in Chicago in a working-class immigrant community, she has had a front-row seat to the contributions immigrants have brought to every aspect of her community and the obstacles they have faced as anti-immigrant rhetoric and policies have intensified. She got involved in politics to one day pursue a career in public policy to advocate and work on behalf of her community on the policies that have disproportionately impacted the Latino community, hoping to create meaningful, lasting change that uplifts and empowers her community. She has volunteered on several local and state-wide campaigns, has interned for a state representative and member of Congress, and is now based in Washington, D.C.
