Alexa Pepa

I am a current freshman studying journalism, and I'm planning to minor in English with a concentration in publishing studies. I currently live in Queens, New York, but I grew up on the Upper West Side for the majority of my life, and I hopefully will move back to that area after college. In the future, I hope to work as an editor for a newspaper or publishing company, or potentially work in the public relations field.

In high school, I was a part of the writing club and book club before I graduated with an IB diploma. Currently, I am a member of the Hofstra Chronicle as a copyeditor, and I work part-time as a brand representative at the Abercrombie in Roosevelt Field mall. Over the summer, I worked as a receptionist at a hair salon in Floral Park, and I have previous experience with tutoring and babysitting.

When I'm not in class or studying at home, I love to read thriller and mystery books or binge-watch rom-com movies. I also like drinking coffee, going on walks, and hanging out with friends and family. I'm interested in writing about pop culture, the entertainment industry, politics, and current events around the world.
