Hi, I’m Alexa! I’m a student at Temple University studying Communications & Media Studies, and I’m so excited to be writing for Her Campus. I took a nontraditional path back to school, which honestly shaped a lot of how I see media, storytelling, and campus life now. Coming back to academics helped me rediscover my confidence and my love for writing, especially when it comes to topics that feel personal, cultural, and relevant to everyday college life. I’m really interested in how media influences identity, trends, and the conversations we’re all already having.
Fashion and beauty are huge passions of mine, but I see them as so much more than just trends. I love how style can be empowering, expressive, and deeply personal. I’m especially interested in beauty, luxury and resale fashion, sustainability, and how aesthetics intersect with confidence and self-image. I also love diving into pop culture, arts, and entertainment, whether that’s music, film, or what’s currently taking over everyone’s TikTok feed. Writing about these topics feels natural to me because they’re things I genuinely care about and talk about all the time.
Outside of school and writing, I balance work, commuting between Philly and home, and staying involved on campus. I value honesty, humor, and conversations that feel real, especially around wellness, relationships, and figuring things out in your twenties. Through Her Campus, I hope to create content that feels relatable, thoughtful, and fun, and that makes readers feel seen, informed, and excited to keep scrolling.
