Hi! My name is Alabama Weninegar, and I’m a second-year Journalism student at the University of Florida, minoring in MPMT and pursuing an outside concentration in Political Science. I have a deep passion for storytelling and writing, and I’m so excited to continue my journey with Her Campus at UF!
During my time at UF, I’ve had the opportunity to work as a reporter for The Alligator and WUFT, as well as complete my first summer internship in the newsroom at WJGH in Panama City Beach, Florida. Each experience has helped me grow as a journalist and strengthened my love for writing. As I continue my professional journey, I’m excited to discover where it takes me and what opportunities are ahead.
When I’m not writing or doing homework, I enjoy reading (especially Twilight), binge-watching TV shows, getting dressed up for dinner with friends, playing tennis, going on walks, spending time with my family, and enjoying lazy rainy days.
