February is coming to an end, which means it is almost time for spring break! A much-needed time to destress and recharge after this overwhelming semester. If you’re like me and can’t just stay home for a week and you’re stuck on what you could do — look no further for some fun ideas.

Go on a cruise

Cruises may be expensive, but they’re a spring break staple. If you and your friends or family have the money and opportunity to book a cruise for even just three days, you’ll have the best time of your life. There is no better feeling than traveling the world with your best friends, waking up early, staying up all night and making core memories.

Go to universal/Disney

All my UCF people know the Universal and Disney hype, but it’s absolutely crazy to me how many of us have never been to either park. If it’s your first time or you’re an annual pass holder, I highly recommend taking a day or two at one of the Orlando theme parks. UCF students even get discounted tickets in the Student Union at Ticket Services. Universal is my personal favorite, and some of my favorite college memories have been from Universal Knights or Halloween Horror Nights. Grab a group of friends and go ride Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure, drink some butterbeer and visit Hogwarts!

Get an Airbnb

I’ve never personally done this, but I’ve always wanted to. My ideal spring break vacation would be to rent an Airbnb in the Florida Keys with a huge group of friends and spend a few nights there, but you don’t even have to travel that far. An Airbnb along the beaches nearby, such as Cocoa Beach, would be just as fun. Imagine waking up for the sunrise, tanning all day, getting açaí bowls and staying up late with your friends just to do it all over again the next day. Pure bliss.

Just relax

Last but not least, take a breather. I know I can’t be the only one with one of the hardest and busiest semesters ever, and a few days of doing absolutely nothing would be amazing — but you don’t have to do it alone. Grab a book and some friends, and just read by the pool all spring break if that’s what you need. End the day binging a new Netflix show with your buddies for a perfect, inexpensive spring break. Sometimes the best memories are made at home literally doing nothing.

If you were stuck on what to do this spring break, I hope this ignited some ideas with your friends. Let’s make Spring Break 2022 the best one yet; the world knows we deserve it.
