Fashion trends tend to recycle every 20 or so years, and the naughties are no exception. Y2K fashion trends are starting to take over once again; you might still have currently trending pieces somewhere in the back of a closet.

Double Denim

Two words: Canadian. Tuxedo. Double denim is back. Very often considered a fashion faux-pas, denim on denim can easily be poorly executed. However, when done right, it is undeniably a fire look. Is anyone else picturing Britney and JT’s 2001 AMA red carpet look right now?

Trucker Hats

You’ve seen Von Dutch hats everywhere. There’s no denying that the trucker hat trend took over this past summer. Although I don’t know how much I still like the trend, it wouldn’t feel right to leave it out given the popularity both then and now.

Low-Rise Pants

For years, high-waisted pants were all I opted to wear. Low rise felt uncomfortable and out of style, like I wouldn’t be caught dead in a pair. Today, I find myself feeling the complete opposite. After much trial and error thrifting low-rise pants, I have finally found pairs that I cannot get enough of. The trend really seems to be kicking off now, with retail stores bringing them back into stock after seasons of high rises.

Crochet

We really saw the crochet trend come back this summer. As we fell into the colder months, crochet skirts and tanks turned into hats and scarves. Crotchet can be incorporated into any look as an accessory or as the main piece of clothing.

Graphic Tees

Graphic tees with sassy phrases are back. Need I say more?

Pinstripe

Pinstripe pants with a matching waistcoat is an outfit that has been all over my Pinterest as of recent. I love the look of wearing a waistcoat as a top, it’s sexy yet elegant. A staple pair of low-rise, bootcut pinstripe pants have been my main objective while thrifting for the past couple of months.2000’s Fashion is Back: Here Are My Favorite Trends
