As I entered my last semester in college, I thought it was important to set new goals for myself. Since I only have about three months left at UNH, I wanted to start thinking about my future, and what I want to be able to do when I enter the workforce. I set 5 goals for myself to hopefully get myself prepared for life after college, and these are what they are.

  1. To be more organized.

In college, I tried all different ways to keep myself organized, and found that writing everything down was the most useful way to stay on top of things. It may be excessive, but going into this semester I chose to create a calendar on my laptop with all of the important dates that I need to know, and what time everything starts at. I then got a separate planner to write down all of my due dates for homework assignments and other commitments. I am hoping that this system will be something I can carry into the future to keep myself more organized.

  1. Learning to take a break when needed.

With the pressure of due dates from assignments, I found myself fully pouring myself into every assignment without giving myself any type of break. I want to focus on the fact that it is okay to take a break whether it is to go to the gym, watch an episode of a tv show, or even sit on my phone for thirty minutes. These breaks will end up making me more productive in the long run because I am not trying to rush through my assignment without giving myself a break.

  1. Focusing on the bigger picture.

To relieve some stress that I have that comes with school, I want to learn how to not sweat the small stuff and try not to make a big deal of things. In doing that I think that I will be able to focus on what is actually important to me, relieving a lot of stress that is keeping me from doing what I want to do.
