Here is just a little spooky list of some really cool places to visit in the month of October to get all those Halloween vibes hehe.

New Orleans, Louisiana: hit up the “Krewe of Boo” parade or go on a ghost tour in the French Quarter, but remember to be extremely respectful and get to learn about the really vast history of this spectacular city and its people.

Salem, Massachusetts: Massachusetts itself seems to radiate a sense of Fall all-year round, but I highly recommend visiting Salem and the neighboring towns, just hit up some of the spots that aren’t so touristy. The Salem Witch Museum, Gallows Hill, the Salem Witch Trials Memorial, Witch House, and the tours are very interesting.

Lizzie Borden House in Fall River, Massachusetts : apparently this house is extremely active and has very odd vibes.

Beacon Hill in Boston, Massachusetts : it is literally stunning; there is nothing quite like this little area.

Point Lookout Lighthouse in Scotland, Maryland: my grandfather personally has been to and worked at this lighthouse and up until his death, could not grasp the various odd things he saw at this lighthouse.

Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: my friends went here for their sixteenth birthday and proceeded to last a solid twenty minutes before running out screaming.

Gettysburg in Pennsylvania or Harper’s Ferry in West Virginia: these places are known to be quite active, especially at night when you can go on ghost tours.

Dock Street Theatre and Old City Jail in Charleston, South Carolina: I personally have been to Charleston and the vibes of the city, like that of Salem, are quite eerie at times. This particular theatre has a really interesting history, as do several other buildings in the surrounding neighborhood. But hurry if you want to see Old City Jail, as it is being torn down soon!

Pine Barrens, New Jersey and Point Pleasant, West Virginia: want to see the Jersey Devil or the Mothman?

Seneca Creek State Park in Gaithersburg, Maryland: I drove past this park one night at two am coming home from a concert, not knowing it was supposedly the one that the Blair Witch resides in. The vibes were not good.

Hey all! My name is Monica and I'm currently a senior at CNU dual majoring in History and English Literature. Most likely you're going to catch me on campus stressed, binging House or Criminal Minds or hanging out with my roommates and watching horrible movies, fixing family dinners, and wasting all my money at Barnes and Noble.
