There are times in our life when we just want to find such a delightful book that we will not be able to put it down. That was my case when I started reading ‘It Ends With Us’ by Colleen Hoover.

I wanted a book that would touch me, words on paper that would make me sob at night. I am used to reading fantasy or romance, genres that make me feel happy and that make me imagine a dream world. Reading, ‘It Ends With Us’, was a way for me to try something different, because curiosity and trying new things is, I believe, a great value, and being a reader is something we should be proud of, no matter which genre.

This book follows the story of a girl named Lily, who has just moved and is ready to start a new life after finishing university. She ends up meeting a man named Ryle whom she falls in love with. But while she starts falling for Ryle, a ghost from her past, her first love, Atlas, reappears and challenges the relationship between Lily and Ryle, already threatened by Ryle’s behaviour. I will say no more about the story because you might want to read it yourself. The only thing I want to say about it is that it became one of my favourite books of all time.

I went through every single emotion while reading it, from joy to tears, from laughter to sadness. After reading it, in only one sitting, I still thought about it for a week and could not open another book. This book is so much more than just a romance novel, it is a book that will open your mind to today’s issues in a relationship, and even deals with abusive relationships. It opened my eyes to the reality of what some women experience every day, being hurt by someone who is supposed to love them. Sometimes, it is the ones who love you the most that hurt you the most. I feel like this book became a part of me, and therefore I can’t stop thinking and talking about it, as well as recommending it to everyone who reads. I don’t think this book could have been written more perfectly.

I hope you will love this book as much as I did!
