I have to pee CONSTANTLY. I am always running to the bathroom to pee for only a few seconds. I drink a lot of water but this is just getting out of hand. Is there anything I can do — preferably naturally but I would consider chemically — to fix this problem? If I hold it in will that stretch out my bladder or anything?
Having to urinate often is one of the hallmark signs of a urinary tract infection. It is advisable to go to the lab and get a urine sample as well as call or see your health care professional to get a proper evaluation. Other symptoms to look out for include urgency, bad smelling urine or even waking up at night to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Urinary symptoms often overlap and you can have urinary retension coupled with infections as well. A good complete history and physical examination will help get to the right diagnosis and then a comprehensive treatment plan including conventional and alternative therapies can be implemented.
True it is important to stay well hydrated and you need to continue drinking but you may want to consider the quantities- is it excessive? There are also some things in your diet that can irritate a bladder including caffeine. It is wise to see a health care professional to make a good assessment and then implement a variety of techniques to help. See a health care professional!
