Q: What’s your year and major?
I am a freshman studying Public Health.

?Q: What is your hometown?
I am originally from Ecuador, but have been living in Houston for five years before moving to the wonderful city of Austin, Texas.

?Q: What are some of your hobbies and interests?
When I’m not spending time with my friends, you usually find me working in a plant biology lab. I love to read and play sports. Anything that has to do with the outdoors is something I would be interested in.

?Q: What do you want to do in the future?
After graduating from UT with a degree in Public Health, I hope to go to graduate school. My goal is to work for either Unicef or the United Nation’s High Commissioner for Refugees.

?Q: What are some things you look for in a guy?
To me, the most important thing is to feel comfortable around a guy. He has to be honest and loyal. He has to make me laugh! I really like smart guys, so he has to be clever and able to sustain a conversation. ?

Q: What’s your favorite part about being at UT?
I love UT! Everything about it is amazing. I really like the diversity in the student body here in Austin. There are so many wonderful opportunities to learn available to anyone who wants to take advantage of them. The city is gorgeous, and there is ALWAYS something to do in Austin.

Bernice Chuang is a fourth year double majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Communication Studies-Human Relations and doing the Business Foundations Program (aka business minor) at the University of Texas at Austin.
