Best Accounts to Follow: Advice from an Instagram Junkie

Facebook is over, my friends. Yes, the days of poking and status updates have fallen by the way side and new applications have ushered in even more creative ways to help us procrastinate for hours and hours. Instagram give us instant snapshots of people’s lives from celebrities to travel to such beautiful style. So with the absurd amount of time I’ve spent scrolling through my phone checking out great accounts to follow and scrutinizing the use of “Walden” over “Amaro”, I’ve compiled a list of my favorites. Without further ado, my personal Instagram superlatives.

All Things Fashion

GlitterGuide: From fashion to food, and all things that sparkle and shine, a girly feel with an edgy twist.

Katespadeny: Prepare to live colorfully from fashion to dining, travel to love.

Theyallhateus: Despite the name, you will fall in love with these girls’ sense of style and unbelievable photos.

Splashstl: As the temperature drops, splash style’s pictures continue to stay sunny with beach, bikini, and mimosa pictures flowing.

Style_Stalker: My personal favorite; close ups of heels, color palettes, and amazingly luxe materials.

ELLEUSA: Elle magazine enters the realm of Instagram with a bang with these incredible photos that mirror the luxurious pages of their monthly mag.

Thestandard: The famous hotel is also a major nightlife hotspot, and their photos show wonderful snapshots of NYC’s glam life.

Atcodinha: The eye-reporter for WWD leads such an exciting life and her adventures (and style) will be sure to inspire you daily.  

Fortune and Fame

KylieeJennerr: Basically any of the Jenner-Odom-Kardashian clan is great to follow, with plenty of jet setting, family pictures, and so many beautiful clothes.  

TaylorSwift: Strangely, a lot of pictures of her cat, but some are quite interesting.  

LaurenConrad: Essentially just a sneak peek into her everyday life, from her new puppy to her travels to Cuba.

Drake (champagnepapi): Check out the baby-faced and beloved drake crooning on his bar mitzvah and partying it up in Vegas.  

Cjronson: The famous female DJ covers photos from her spinning, to trips to Aruba, to her super hipster life.  

Adorable

CuteBoys_WithCats: Boys. With adorable kittens. The cute never stops!

Marutaro: An adorable Shiba Inu puppy with his own account, every picture will make you smile!

International

Cosmopolitan UK: Get an inside look at the U.K. version which is even cheekier than the American one.

Seeaustralia: Head all over the unbelievable continent of Australia with striking photography and beautiful shots of the beach, the ocean, and sometimes a rogue kangaroo.

Travelettes: Trips across the globe from these lovely ladies, with breathtaking photography to boot.  

Inspiring

Charitywater: Follow their efforts to bring clean drinking water to people in developing countries with these stunning photos.

Kiva_Microloans: From our campus celebrity and own Bucknellian, check out what your loaned money is actually going towards.  

Best of the Rest

CocoRocha: One of NY’s top models, dive into a world of beautiful people and even more beautiful locales.  

BarackObama: Yes, even our president has his own Instagram. I suppose he likes “Vienna” filter just as much as the rest of us.

KawsStudio: An artist who posts some amazingly creative and artistic shots.
