This playlist is composed of ten chart toppers that will keep you both focused and jumping out of your seat (and quickly back) so you can ace your tests and perfect your papers this spring!

A Great Big World feat. Christina Aguilera: “Say Something”

Here’s a soft melody that can be dedicated to some heavy reading. It certainly shows another side of powerhouse vocalist Christina Aguilera!

Lorde: “Royals”

No brainer. This 17-year-old from New Zealand truly has the gift of song. Her success at such a young age should be used as inspiration for you to finish the rest of that paper!

Beyonce: “XO” and “Pretty Hurts”

Beyonce surprisingly released her latest self-titled album, “Beyonce” in December 2013. This album features R&B tracks like “XO,” hip-hop, and rap. There’s a little something for everyone!

Aloe Blacc: “Can You Do This?”

Not only does Aloe Blacc have an amazing ballad voice, as heard in the number one song “Wake Me Up,” but he can also create crowd-pleasing dance tracks!

Aloe Blacc: “The Man”

Yes, obviously I am a fan of Aloe Blacc’s music. Currently a placeholder in iTunes Top 100, “The Man” is a calming song that can help you concentrate on the subject at hand. Blacc samples Elton John’s tune, “Your Song,” throughout the track.

Justin Timberlake: “Mirrors”

Of course a Timberlake song would be on this playlist…they all last more than 5 minutes long! This way you can easily read though a couple of chapters of whatever you are trying to study.

U2: “Ordinary Love”

This song is featured on the heartfelt movie “Mandela, A Long Walk to Freedom.” It was also nominated for an Oscar for “Best Original Song.”

Rihanna feat. Mikky Ekko: “Stay”

Even though this tune was released way back in January, it is still a favorite. Like Beyonce, Rihanna displays a softer side with powerful vocals.

Pharrell Williams: “Happy”

How could this song not make the cut? It should make everyone happy!
