Can you believe that it is already week 5? This can only mean one thing: midterms season. This week you can count on seeing filled seats at Geisel, long lines at Tapioca Express, and lots of people in UCSD sweaters. As much as we love sporting UCSD apparel, we found a few other options for staying comfy and chic this time of the quarter!

Sweats? or Fashion Statement?

I can not bring myself to wear anything along the lines of high-waisted and denim during midterms season; thus, these Brandy Melville bell bottom pants have been a staple in my closet this fall. Not only do they scream fashionista alert, but they the most comfortable pair of pants I own. They have the stretchy element of yoga pants, the warmth of sweats, and the bell bottom style is flattering on any body type. You won’t regret getting these sweats, I mean pants.

Oversized Sweaters

Our UCSD sweaters showcase our Triton pride, but we can’t wear the same sweater every day for 3 weeks straight; we do not need more stank in Geisel. Mix up the tops you wear by sporting different oversized sweaters! This cropped, turtle neck sweater is the epitome of comfy chic and would be perfect for a long night in the library. You’ll be looking cute and polished while studying. Just try not to fall asleep in this cozy sweater.

Bras Be Gone

The last thing we need to worry about while studying is uncomfortable underwires, restricting straps, and tight bands. This midterms season, replace your bombshell bra for a beautiful bralette! These babies will keep your girls in place while adding a feminine and relaxing touch to your outfit!

T-shirt Dresses

We have been obsessed with shift and T-shirt dresses. Throw on a T-shirt dress for a simple, yet adorable ensemble. You will feel as though you are wearing pajamas while looking put together! There are maxi and mini versions of shift dresses and we can’t decide which ones we love more. If you can’t find shift dresses, look into purchasing large mens shirts and wearing them as dresses. There are some prints and patterns that we can’t find in women’s apparel that look stunning as dresses!

Ponchos

Getting out of bed is one of the biggest accomplishments of my every day life. That’s why we love the poncho. Wearing a poncho is like wrapping yourself in your blanket all over again. Studying with a blanket? We’re in! We are loving this plaid poncho from Forever 21. The summer and fall was all about plaid skirts and pants and we are ready to bring the trend into our winter wear!

Staple Cardigan

Of course we can’t forget about the collegiette’s favorite fall outerwear, the cardigan. Although we are still in love with boyfriend and knit cardigans, we are stoked to sport wool cardigans this fall! Wool cardigans give casual looks a more polished effect and create an aura of high-class. This H&M wool cardigan would enhance any basic outfit and make other girls take a double take.

People could care less about what you look like during midterms season, so don’t fret too much on how you look! However, if you need a little confidence booster, bust out a few fashionable, yet comfortable outfits and strut your stuff! Good luck studying and do well on your midterms collegiettes!
