Describe yourself in 5 words. Punny, rap-loving Southern gentleman foodie.
Â
Describe your ideal date. Dinner at a quirky (yet delicious) restaurant with a great vibe, then walking around Centennial Park, followed by a drive-in movie. I’m a bit of a hopeless romantic so no, “Netflix and chill” isn’t on the radar.
Â
Three ways a person can win your heart. Have a sense of humor, appreciate brunch, keep a conversation going
Â
Three fun facts: I’m writing my senior thesis on internet rappers, I have a national championship ring for trivia, and I write a food column centered around brunch.
Â
What do you see yourself (ideally) doing after you graduate? I’d love to stay in Atlanta working in some capacity in the startup/communications scene. Currently, I’m the Communications Director for Health Connect South, a nonprofit healthcare startup in Atlanta.
Â
What are some of your favorite places in Atlanta? Ponce City Market, the Jackson Street Bridge (it has the best view of the skyline), Downtown Decatur
Â
What has been your biggest accomplishment since being at Emory? Being Campus Cutie, of course! That, or overhauling the Wheel’s print and web edition. After 90+ years of being in the past, I’ve helped transform theWheel into a national leader in digital college media.
Â
What is your hidden talent? I’m a very talented musician. I can play about seven different instruments, have perfect pitch and am a really good singer. I write, compose and arrange music and used to play in a blues band. Also, I am a pretty cool DJ (at least that’s what my friends tell me).
