Every college student has battled the war between hunger and laziness. To walk to the dining commons or to starve? But hunger usually wins, and you find yourself sluggishly pulling on your shoes so that you can make the long trek from your dorm to the DC because you don’t have any food in your dorm. But what if there was another solution to all of this stomach warfare? Luckily for all of the Collegiettes out there, we’ve compiled a delicious list of DIY dorm recipes that can be created with the help of a few simple ingredients.

The best part? You don’t even have to put pants on.

1. Frozen Yogurt Blueberries

This recipe is easy and delicious. Throw some blueberries in a bowl and add a few dollops of regular or Greek yogurt. Stir it around so that the yogurt is evenly distributed, and freeze overnight. The only downside is that you need to prepare them in advance, but the results are totally worth it! For the full recipe, click here

2. Apple “Cookies”

Slice up an apple into circular rounds, spread some peanut butter on it, and sprinkle it with whatever you have on hand, (coconut, chocolate chips, granola, etc). You can make mini apple sandwiches as well! For the full recipe, click here.

3. Peanut Butter Banana Mug Cakes

This is by far one of the yummiest recipes ever. Mash up a banana in a mug until there are no lumps left, add a packet of instant oatmeal, and stir in a spoonful of peanut butter. Microwave for a few minutes, and, voila, you have a delicious oatmeal cake. You can also add your own variations! For the full recipe, click here.

4. Microwave Rice Crispy Treats

Try this sweet and gooey recipe for a Collegiette take on delicious marshmallow treats. Melt a couple of marshmallows and a dollop of butter in a mug for 20 seconds or so, mix them together, and add a cup of cereal. Stir together and enjoy! For the full recipe, click here.

5. Ramen Pasta Salad

If your body composition isn’t at least 50% ramen noodles, are you even in college? Prepare ramen noodles as you usually would in the microwave, but strain the water out of the noodles after cooking. Snag a few veggies, (carrots, cucumber, tomato, celery, etc), cut them up, and throw them into the noodles. Then chill in the fridge for half an hour or so and enjoy! For the full recipe, (and a bunch of other delicious ramen upgrades), click here.
