Ahhhh, Christmas. It’s the most wonderful time of the year (literally), yet it only lasts for a day… *sigh* With all the hustle and bustle, holiday greetings, family visits, presents, dinners, and travelling, Christmas flies by in the blink of an eye, and suddenly you’re left with the feeling that you didn’t actually experience Christmas at all! Thus, you begin to have what I call “PCD” or “Post-Christmas Depression” which stems from the startling calmness after the peak of this highly-anticipated season. This might sound very serious, but don’t worry; I’ve put together a few symptoms and solutions to help you identify and overcome this condition faster than you can say “cotton-headed ninny muggins!”

Waking up on December 26th like

When you can’t get all those Christmas carols out of your head

Finding excuses to wrap things because you’re feeling nostalgic for Christmas morning

When you see a house that still has its lights up AND turns them on

When Star Wars: The Force Awakens came out, but you could still only think about Christmas

Wallowing in your post-Christmas denial like

Warning: PCD may have moderate-to-severe side effects such as: singing Christmas carols, re-watching Christmas movies, and leaving Christmas decorations up until February. You may try to cure your PCD or decide to revel in it just a bit longer. Regardless, everyone loves Christmas even if some people extend it a little longer than December 25th… Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good night!

Just your typical Colorado girl who loves cats, the outdoors, and tie-dye clothing. Oh, and BEARS, BEETS, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA! (if you know what that just referenced then we can be besties)
