This week Gettysburg—sponsored by Active Minds, Psi Chi, and yours truly, Her Campus at Gettysburg— is celebrating National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. In order to bring more awareness to this week, there was a CUB table with information. We also asked people why they liked their bodies in a body-positive photo booth. These are some of their responses:
“I like my body because it deserves it.”
“I like my body because it’s beautiful.”
“I like my body because it accentuates my personality.”
“I like my body because I can connect the dots with my freckles.”
“I like my body because my melanin POPS severely!”
“I like my body because it tells a story.”
“I like my body because I have nice hair and eyes.”
“I like my body because it’s a good vector for my soul.”
“I like my body because it is natural.”
“I like my body because it was made by God!”
“I like my body because it’s strong.”
“My body is perfect because it is powerful.”
“My body is perfect because it’s part of who I am.”
These are some reasons that other people like their bodies. Now it’s your turn. Why do you like your body? Why is your body perfect? Let us know in the comments!
