Meet this week’s Campus Cutie, Angel Coburn! He is an exceptional track athlete who has competed in 5 meets for the Patriots, with numerous outstanding records under his belt. Angel competes in the 4x400m relays and the 400m hurdles and has been an Indoor and Outdoor Champion for the 4x400m relay in both 2014 and 2015. He set his personal record in the 400m hurdles of 52.61. Read below to get to know Angel a little better-if you haven’t already fallen for his golden locks you will be sure to fall for his charismatic charm.

1. What year and major are you? I’m a senior and majoring in Psychology

2. When did you first get involved with track and what draws you to being apart of it today? I got involved when i was 11 (6th grade), or before that because my parents met at a track meet, it was just in my blood. Im drawn to it now because Its a part of who I am, and its great stress relief.

3. If your life could be like any television show, which one would you want it to be like? If my life was like a television show, it would most likely be like malcom in the middle most definitely.

4. What actor would you want to play you in a movie about your life? In a movie about my life I would say Simon Baker would be the one to play me.

5. Are you in a relationship or single? I’m single as a dollar bill

6. What qualities do you look for in a girl? In a girl I love confidence, the ability to have a conversation, willingness to take part in my shenanigans, “cup is always half full”, likes to play with (my) hair, doesnt know the meaning of failure.

7. What do you find unattractive in a girl? Things I find unattractive: always late, cant keep your word, wants to try to “fix” or change me.

8. Where do you see yourself in the future? In the future I see myself in a beachhouse on an island in the Caribbean living my life free from Trumps reign of terror.

9. Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies? Hidden talent? Id say not much of a talent, but i can do flips and what not fairly decently… I’m also VERY good at imagining that I can sing.

10. Besides track, what other sport would you be involved in? I played football for 5 years up until my junior year of highschool , and baseball for 2 when i was really young. And did martial arts up until brown belt, when i was 8 and 9.

11. What is your most memorable part of Mason? Most memorable part of being at Mason would have to be Halloween my sophomore year, I had a marshmallow man costume and was asked left and right to take pictures with people. It was great.

Be sure to go out to track meets this spring to support Angel and his team mates!
